I've got a 2010 MacBook Pro.
On startup the CD-Rom drive gives me a good grinding sound that was not present prior to Solus. It also does not occur when I live boot an Ubuntu(Deb) based OS.
Anyone got any ideas for where I should try to troubleshoot this?
I don't see any proprietary drivers on DoFlicky for the CD-Rom. All I've got are the Nvidia drivers (I don't recommend they reduced the OS to booting directly into a blank/black screen after splashing).
I'm considering just removing the CD-Rom and swapping it with a hard drive caddy anyways but if I don't have to do that I don't intend to quite yet.
