DataDrake And for future readers: Plymouth adds several seconds to your boot time. Until that changes or something better comes along as an alternative, there won't be a splash screen for Solus.
DataDrake eljondy I actually wouldn't mind the RHEL/Fedora/CentOS text-based boot screen. Sadly that's a feature of Plymouth and introduces slowdowns.
Lucien_Lachance i dont know if my machine is unusually fast but it takes pretty much exactly 1 sec from grub to login screen, so a plymouth would just be a little flash or quite a pointless slowdown
Justin Lucien_Lachance Same here but I understand where users with older spinning disks might see the issue. I really wish plymouth was faster or there was a faster alternative like @DataDrake said.
