I have a laptop with Win 8.1 and Mint 19.1 XFCE installed. A couple of days ago I installed Solus, whereby I assigned root (/) to a new partition (sda11), and shared the /home partition with Mint, although I created a username for Solus that is different from Mint's. I was told Solus's grub would be picked up by and integrated into Mint's.
Result: Solus does not appear in Mint's grub menu, and the root does not get mounted, as shown here:
lsblk
NAME MAJ:MIN RM SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINT
sda 8:0 0 931,5G 0 disk
├─sda1 8:1 0 1000M 0 part
├─sda2 8:2 0 260M 0 part /boot/efi
├─sda3 8:3 0 1000M 0 part
├─sda4 8:4 0 128M 0 part
├─sda5 8:5 0 793G 0 part
├─sda6 8:6 0 450M 0 part
├─sda7 8:7 0 25G 0 part
├─sda8 8:8 0 13,1G 0 part
├─sda9 8:9 0 28G 0 part /
├─sda10 8:10 0 18,6G 0 part /home
└─sda11 8:11 0 14,7G 0 part
In fact, the Solus boot folder is empty.
Here is the output of inxi -Fzx:

Can this be corrected so Solus can appear in the Mint grub and I can boot into Solus normally, or is an uninstall/reinstall called for?
