I would like to install Solus as dual boot on my computer that currently has Mint installed. I do not have Windows installed anymore :-)) Since I am still a Linux beginner/newbie I would like to get some advice as to how to do this best.
I have a 128 SSD and a 1 TB HDD.
I have my root (/) on the SSD, as well as the /boot/efi partitions, I don't have a separate swap partition.
On the HDD I have my /home partition, 1 other partition for Timeshift snapshot, and 1 other for the home backups.
My questions:
I assume I have to create a new /home partition because using the same one will create a mess, right?
I don't know where my current Grub is located; what should I do for Solus? When I switch on my computer I want Grub to list both the 4 Mint options as well as the Solus options.
During the installation process, there comes a point I will have to decide on whether to do partitioning manually or let the installer take care of it: what is best?
Anything else?
Here is the output for inxi -Fxz:
