If this in any thumbtacked dev posts, forgive me, I believed I had read them all.

You still want users to edit their titles [SOLVED] like in the Olde Days?
Or simply request of you a solved tag in their post?
I have no trouble taking the initiative if it makes lives easier.

No. I'd prefer a Core Team member or Global Maintainer do it. It also gives us the opportunity to review the provided solution, should we not be the ones which provided it in the first place.
