I have no intentions on mentioning any software stack versions on the download page. That's why I marked it as No and closed it. Please do not open another thread regarding the matter.
We mention the current software stack at the time of the release of a specific version of Solus on the blog post for that version. Most people understand that when you install any operating system, you are going to have updates. Do you expect Microsoft to have a list of various versions of software, their Windows NT kernel, etc. on their download page for the ISO? No. Do you expect Ubuntu, elementary OS, Linux Mint, etc. to do that? No. So why Solus?
It introduces a completely unnecessary amount of work for us. We perform stack upgrades almost every single week on some part of the software stack. Not to mention that the GNOME Stack isn't relevant to the MATE Edition, and we'd also have to update the list whenever we update software on the ISO (like Firefox).
No. So much nope.
And since I'm not a Solus user I did not know that unstable leads to stable in a week - so this information should really be out there without having to extensively look for it.
This information is not relevant to your average user (read: not "Linux user"). We have documentation on it here.
