There are plenty of file managers in Solus already. It doesn't do anything that the already offered packages can do and it's the file manager of xfce which is not a Solus flavor.

Too bad. Thunar is still the best file manager and definitely faster than Nautilus.
I can live with it but as I said past the package management Thunar install I do not.

I'll try Caja but I think the bulk renamer is totally bad or not at all.

    Hmmm :-(

A plus for Thunar is also its batch-rename capability that I usually use with other file managers on other systems by adding line Exec=thunar -B %U in a context menu action.

    It has:

    1. a batch-rename GUI

    1. a simple integrated system for creating context menu actions

Both are quite unique. I always use the first one in KDE with Dolphin with a service menu including the line Exec=thunar -B %U, like said here.

Now I use Solus Plasma and Dolphin but cannot add that. (Thunar is not available as flatpak, snap or appimage.)

I think you may have meant to say "packages can't do."

@cipricus Can we please stop necroing old posts? This is the second time I've personally had to remind you not to do this.

We have an established process for Requesting a Package. Debating inclusion here serves no purpose, especially on a 2 year old thread.
