Hey all, I just switched from Manjaro to Solus as I was having thermal issues with Manjaro, so far Solus has been great (and the heating issues seem to be gone). However, when I applied the updates, it installed Linux kernel 5.1.14; when I booted back into Solus after the install, the screen started flickering. However, its not regular flickering, here's what I've noticed/tried so far:
- Starts flickering after login
- Doesn't flicker if I'm typing (I typed this, no flickering, but when I stop the flickering resumes)
- ^ Same with the mouse
- I installed fluxbox, still flickering.
- I turned down the refresh rate in the settings as far as possible, still flickering.
I had this issue with the latest version of Fedora as well, when I booted into Fedora 30 Live it immediately started flickering.
My computer is a Dell Inspirion 7573. It has an Intel UHD 620 graphics card. Any help would be excellent! Thanks!
