Budgie workspaces are not seperated and the switcher is tiny

Long time user here. Overal loving the experience of budgie but somethings have been grinding my gears since I tried using workspaces.

The workspace switcher in the menu bar is tiny. At most I ever saw 3 icons. Now only one and a +2 or +3... So almost no idea what is what there, and I find no option to widen it.
The workspaces are not divided. All apps are open in the menubar from all the workspaces. You can access and see all the stuff that is open in the other workspace this way. Thus making the distinction almost useless. Alt-tabbing works just as well if you want to switch between full-window programs after all. It would be better in my humble opinion of every workspace is clean/clear of stuff from the others.
If you have multiple instances of, for example, firefox running you can switch. Right clicking the it in the menu and selecting the other will move you to another workspace. Once again, same problem. It seems to render it moot. Is it not better to have it changed so it only switches workspaces when the user explicitely choses to?

This would be great to have. Even a different wallpaper, favorite icons, theme, etc.

The size is adjustable in - Budgie Desktop Settings / Top Panel / Settings / Size

Divided, well they use a black line change to transparent and you will see, as long as wallpaper is not black 😀

The +2, +3 means you have 2 , 3 windows open in that Workspace. Left click will drop down a panel to select a window.
Right clicking an open app icon - the arrow will open a workspace control window.

I have my Workspace panel centered to give it room and use 4 panels daily or more
Once you get use to it, I find it very natural. 🙂

By making everything larger it did eventualy give room for 6 icons. I had it on 39 before, and now it's on 45. Not entirely what I was hoping for. But I'll get used to that. Thanks.

I knew how it worked. It just kinda struck as a little inconventient when you only have a few things open in each space.

The black line change I do see. But it really does nothing for me that alt-tabbing won't. since the icons on the top left aren't freed up, and force the switch anyway. I am certain that this is not how it is done in other distros. And there is good reason for it. Not saying it to nag. But I don't see as much of a point to workspaces like this.

Nevermind. I was apparently wrong. It works the same way in the Gnome DE. I must be remembering things wrong from long ago.

THANKS DEVS! It has changed to work more as I wanted. I was a bit unsure and confused.
