Changing file icon manually

Hello,

I've just created a Chrome shortcut to a website on my desktop and it got the browser default icon. Is there a simple way to change it to an icon I prefer?

ps.: I'm thinking about choosing a specific icon I've downloaded.

Yes you can, simply open the .desktop file with a text editor, then modify the Icon= line with the path of your icon
ex: Icon=/home/user/Pictures/my-launcher_icon.png
Look also in your ~/.local/share/applications/ folder, there is the same launcher to modify, for the budgie menu
