Everything about this decision has been idiotic. The way it was communicated with claims about wine64 just working for most, to suggesting a containerised solution and now freezing libraries. But security issues were a reason to killing off 32bit entirely right? So now you're just not going to update them period? Well done.
Time investment is another reason for doing this apparently, funny how every other distribution in existence manages. Including Solus which is a from scratch distribution so doesn't benefit from a parent distributions work.
