Help change Keyboard shortcutd

Hello,
It might be a noob question, but I'm new to Solus.
So I'm used to change keyboard layout using "Shift+Alt" and I'm used to use "Shift+Insert" in the terminal.
The thing is, I can't use these shortcut's in Solus for some reason!
So I've searched everywhere and it look like these shortcuts are used in something even though they're not doing anything when pressed. So, can someone please tell me how to do the following:

1- use "Shift+Alt" left and right to change keyboard layout.
2- Use "Shift+Insert" to paste text?

Using Shift+Alt+V is big pain, and using "Super+Space" is even a bigger pain.

It seems GNOME Control Center doesn't allow setting shortcuts like that, I've just tried, try another combination
It appears GTK may control paste shortcuts (Source)

Yeah that's the whole thing. The system will not allow it.
I use the default combination but it's a very hard task to do. Changing the layout usually takes me a fraction of a second, now I need to look, make sure it's super key then space because the other it doesn't work. and some times I need to use 2 hands.combination.
Also pasting text into terminal now require using 2 hands!

So that's why I really want to set my own

Regarding your first point, I used to make this work this way:

Install dconf-editor;
Go to "org -> gnome -> desktop -> wm -> keybindings -> switch-input-source"
Change the value, for example, to ['<Shift>Alt_L', '<Alt>Shift_L']

This will allow you to switch keyboard layout with pressing left Alt while holding Shift AND with pressing left Shift while holding Alt.

Then go to "switch-input-source-backward"
Change the value, for example, to ['<Shift>Alt_R', '<Alt>Shift_R']

This will give you the ability to switch in backwards order with right Alt and Shift respectively.

Immortal I've just noticed,
The Shift+Insert is working now globally!

I'm not sure if it's related to what we've done using dconf-editor, but it work now!!

You're welcome, glad to be of help. And no, I don't think that Shift+Insert is related, you must have done something else 🙂
