Thanks a lot for your help.
When I plug in some headphones I can hear sound so, that lets me just with misconfiguration or HW problems, doesn't it? I'm starting to think that must be the later because in alsamixer it appeared as it was not with volume and in the first command you told me it can be read:
"00:1f.3 Audio device: Intel Corporation Cannon Lake PCH cAVS (rev 10)"
In the analog-output.conf it can be read
[General]
priority = 99
[Element Hardware Master]
switch = mute
volume = merge
override-map.1 = all
override-map.2 = all-left,all-right
[Element Master]
switch = mute
volume = merge
override-map.1 = all
override-map.2 = all-left,all-right
[Element Master Mono]
switch = off
volume = off
[Element Front]
switch = mute
volume = merge
override-map.1 = all-front
override-map.2 = front-left,front-right
The next elements are basically set up the same (I didn't write them to make it shorter). But I hope it might give any other further info
Haven't tried to change it yet just in case I made some additional mistake.
Is there some way of being able to discern if there is any physical problem?
Anyone, any other idea of what might have changed to keep my computer soundless?
