mdiemer I wonder, how many "from scratch" Linuxes are there? I mean successful ones, like Solus. I realize anyone can roll their own; there's even a website for it: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/ But I don't know of any major systems of this nature besides Solus? Am I wrong?
mdiemer Thanks Staudey, that was helpful (I was searching under "Linux From Scratch" rather than Independent). I have used Puppy and Tiny Core on an old Pentium II. I would guess those two are the only ones in general use. The others are very specialized. Except of course Android.
Staudey Well, Void Linux is pretty popular too, and then there is Clear Linux, which might not quote be general purpose but close to it.
