Best software for audio/music/beats creation?

I've always had an interest in creating some music/beats and things of that nature. Maybe make a crazy techno beat, or finally create that hip hop song I've had lyrically floating around my head for years. I don't know much yet about music creation software (the last software I used was GarageBand circa 2005!), so if anyone could get me up to speed on some of the best software(s) out there that are available the lovely Solus repos (I will accept flatpak as well!) that would be a huge help to me and any insights y'all might have with your experiences creating music feel free to share! For a more than easy installation, I propose the very last Linux MultiMedia Studio (LMMS) appimage, which we can catch here.

Guitarix is pretty nice and Ardour seems nice too but havent had a chance to mess with it properly yet!

I agree with Sangheeta, LMMS works very well and is easy to learn and use, especially for a beginner. There are a lot of free synth modules and sound libraries if you do some searching around. Fat Cat is one you might want to look at. Try the Plogue sforzando player, it comes with some free sounds, but also can play sfz files. LMMS also has a good forum. I may even still be on it. but it's been awhile so they may have purged me.

Just download the linux zip, extract and launch the executable.
To add modules, you need to create an account and from https://vcvrack.com/plugins.html, add some modules then launch Rack, log in to your account, update the library and relaunch Rack. But, as VCVRack is now v1, you can only install modules that are v1 also, previous modules like 0.X.X won't work in VCVRack v1

This is a powerfull rack modular synthetizer, add many modules your computer can handle (set the block size to 4096 in the audio core module and keep the zoom to 100% as possible to save cpu & gpu and a very good tip is to set the frameRateLimit to 15 instead of 70 in the settings-v1.json file from the /home/.Rack folder, We loose precision with mouse interaction but that's ok, it's still tweakable (I set my to 10, that's ok)).
