Any dedicated guide towards building packages in solus from source?

amazing works in solus much appreciated 😀
but i feel like packages are not updated often like shotcut and gimp so please make a dedicated guide for solus on how to compile them from source.
is it possible to make a video guide??? is already anything related to this is available please link to that

There is also the old video tutorial, which might be a bit outdated by now but can still serve as a good starting point (I know it helped me back then)
