oogi I know that for most users this doesn't matter, but as someone using a Radeon VII there some improvements with the latest drivers that I would like to use. I am a pretty big newbie so I do not have the know-how to do it myself.
Staudey If you don't know how to do (and more importantly maintain) it, then I would advise against doing it in the first place.
Justin I'd suggest Requesting A Package Update, especially if you have now know-how already, kernels and mesa are not the simplest of things to update.
