1) I have turned Solus-4.0-Budgie.iso to a live USB with Rufus 3.5.1497 with settings: GPT, UEFI (non CSM), FAT32, DD image.
2) In bios I have:
Legacy Support = Disabled
Secure Boot = Disabled
3) Live USB boots up fine.
4) I tried installing Solus two different ways:
a) Install a fresh copy of Solus alongside your existing Operating System (which is Windows 10).
b) Erase all content on this disk and install a fresh copy of Solus.
5) Once installed I do not get boot options to Solus other than through:
a) Esc >> F9 >> Boot From EFI File >> EFI >> Boot >> BOOTX64.EFI
b) Esc >> F9 >> Boot From EFI File >> EFI >> systemd >> systemd-bootx64.efi
6) Both efi-files take me so far:
[ 0.001468 do_IRQ: 1.55 No irq handler for vector]
[[ Solus Operating System ]]
mymachine login:
_ (blinking underscore for ever)
Ctrl + Alt + F2...4
[[ Solus Operating System ]]
mymachine login:
_ (blinking underscore again so quick I do not have time to type both username and password)
7) A second, third or fourth forced reboot by shutting down power does not take the startup process any further.
Please advice?
PS: Hardware: HP Pavilion Laptop (AMD A6-530M, AMD Radeon HD 8450G + 8670M, 8 GB RAM, 1TB Toshiba HDD) without wired internet connection (i.e. RJ45); Could this be the problem? Might also be worth mentioning that the same ISO-file installs fine on a vmware virtual machine.
