How to burn a ISO to USB stick

Hello,
How do I burn a ISO file to a USB stick?

I always use the "Disks" utility that comes with Solus. Just use the "Restore Disk Image" option in the right menu, choose the image file and put the USB stick as the destination. Works every time.

Tried "dd" so many times, but never got it to work.
Etcher is good, but then you need to download it.

use lsblk to check the drives and use the one of your usb stickt.
then use the /dev/sdx of your stick in the following command:
sudo dd if=/path/to/iso of=/dev/sdx bs=8M && sudo sync

henkesteen I've never found the "Restore Disk Image" option. I always find the "Restore Partition Image" one but that works at... partition level, and only if the destination partition is >= the source partition. Furthermore Disks doesn't perform any SHA-256 verification.

I'm trying to minimise Solus so if no external program is needed... The option in Disks fine. It's bit hide away but I don't often have to use it.

I small additional question if I may?

Am I right to presume that Solus has no out of the box option to label formatted USB sticks? I couldn't find it so I installed Mtools and used the "mlabel" command in the terminal. I rather use a UI. Gparted offers a option to "label file system" after installing mlabel but doesn't seem to work.

If the formatted usb is your Solus OS then I don't know.
If your formatted USB is something else, then mount it with gnome-disks (Disks in the menu), and right-click to RENAME.

I've done this before in Disks but I'm not sure the circumstance. It's greyed out when I tried it on my fat32 cross-platform work USB just now. Not sure why. Sorry I couldn't answer definitively.

@ Brent: I don't see the option "Rename" in Disks
@ Justin: In Gparted the option was greyed out. After installing Mtools the option came available. But when I entered the label MUSIC, noting happend. Thunar didn't show the label. When I entered the command "sudo mlabel -i /dev/sdb1 -s ::MUSIC" it said that the label already exists and renamed it to MUSIC-1. Thunar than indeed showed MUSIC-1. It's puzzling.
