As others have reported, on KDE the UI stopped working after updating and I had to restart my PC using the power button. Now it's mostly working fine, but the 'search' functionality of the KDE Application Menu widget does not work anymore. Am I right to suspect that this is not a Solus issue and probably related to Plasma 6.7.1 instead?

I seem to have fixed the issue by re-adding the widget and deleting the broken one. I could've sworn I already attempted this right at the start and it didn't work, but perhaps another reboot helped as well. I don't think there was an eopkg problem as the check didn't return anything noteworthy.

KDE version here. Restarting after the update did not work. Somehow I could restart the machine.
Now KDE has problems with the WIFI passwords, it keeps asking for them. Kind of an annoyance, since I do switch them regulary.

Otherwise a fine update. I must add, I use KDE, but I do not love it 🙂 I try not to touch any settings, since I do not remember where do I changed what. And sometimes I hit a key which trigger things I do not quite understand ... but that is probably just me.

Strange. I have a laptop with Solus KDE. When I booted after the update, it did require the Wifi password. I just read your message, and with some fear I grabbed my laptop, afraid it would ask the Wifi password over and over. Luckily, it connected to Wifi automatically.

Please go to Plasma Settings, Wi-Fi & Internet, General, and check if Connect automatically with priority is marked.

I encountered this just before sync. I deleted the saved wifi password data and re-added it. After that it didn't keep prompting. I have no idea why this happened.

Since the update I've seen more crashes which might be GPU driver related. I've had three crashes over two days whilst gaming, which did not happen before. Obviously this can may be caused by a myriad of things (very hot summer temperatures (but GPU and all other temps look fine: 70°C while gaming), aging hardware, …). I have a Radeon 7900 XT connected via DisplayPort to a monitor with FreeSync enabled.

The system halts completely, only pixels in the upper quarter of the screen are staying on the frozen frame, then one row of garbled pixels, and the rest of the screen goes black from top to bottom over a period of about 2 seconds. Only the fans stay on.

I tried to check for any logs, but it seems like solus doesn't keep the dmesg of the previous boot (as i needed to reset my system) and journalctl -b -1 -r doesn't show anything out of the ordinary either :/

Does anyone have an idea of how to investigate this further?

If you had trouble with reboot not working after updating you can do it via the terminal you don't need to hard shutdown/reset. It often happens with major updates to systemd and will work properly after rebooting the first time.

All good for me. Had limited internet for a few days as the water company didn't check before digging for a new water main and did major damage to the underground fiber, like removing 50 foot chunk of it. Had to use my cell for internet.
