System: HP Omen 16-ap0047nr (yes, the cursed one), Ryzen 7 350, RTX 5060 Laptop, Solus 4.9, Plasma 6.6.5 (Wayland)
This has happened to me a couple times, so I've finally decided to report it.
Sometimes after waking my laptop from sleep, with an external monitor plugged in and lid closed and possibly in other situations, the screen remains blank while the power LED lights up. The laptop display's backlight turns on if the lid is opened. Switching to TTY works and that's how I got logs (It won't let me attach text files here, I forgot your preferred method of dealing with that)
It's definitely Nvidia related (as per usual), this section in journalctl seems related:
May 31 19:13:22 hp-solus-laptop kwin_wayland[1300]: Pageflip timed out! This is a bug in the nvidia-drm kernel driver
May 31 19:13:22 hp-solus-laptop kwin_wayland[1300]: Please report this at https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/c/gpu-graphics/linux
May 31 19:13:22 hp-solus-laptop kwin_wayland[1300]: With the output of 'sudo dmesg' and 'journalctl --user-unit plasma-kwin_wayland --boot 0'
And so does this:
May 31 19:15:10 hp-solus-laptop kernel: [drm:nv_drm_atomic_commit [nvidia_drm]] ERROR [nvidia-drm] [GPU ID 0x00000500] Flip event timeout on head 1
Which is replicated in dmesg:
[73939.673311] [drm:nv_drm_atomic_commit [nvidia_drm]] ERROR [nvidia-drm] [GPU ID 0x00000500] Flip event timeout on head 1
I don't know if there's anything you all can do about it but I figured I'd ask here just to see.
Thank you!
