How can I use LaTeX?

Hello, how can I use LaTeX on Solus?
I installed TeX Live and TeXstudio, but I’m having compilation issues.

Denis usually all you need to do is install texlive, and maybe some fonts. Could you share the errors you're getting?

“TeX Live installation is OK, font installation is OK. The issue is with the Lnormal package. I disabled it, and during compilation it reports errors but without any details.”

Could you share the .tex source that's giving you errors? Or better: a minizied .tex file that produces the same errors?

A few other follow-up questions:

How did you install texlive?
Is your system fully updated?
What is the output of pdflatex --version when run in a terminal?

The --dry-run flag was just a simulation to show you what is missing, so nothing has been installed yet.

I think, you are missing the fonts:

sudo eopkg it texlive-fonts-extra texlive-fonts-opentype texlive-fonts-truetype

Or just install the whole metapackage: sudo eopkg it texlive-all

Check if you are missing additional packages that are included in texlive-all. Run: sudo eopkg it texlive-all --dry-run You can install the whole metapackage, (big package) or just the missing fonts.
