gozo Hi Team, Even after latest update today my kernel is still stuck at 6.18.8-326.current Updates have completed successfully, but uname still gives me above output. Thanks!
Axios gozo I Have the excess kernel issue but seems to be on Budgie only for me just checked plasma and it was fine. (2 kernels) I have to go through the cleanup routine as of lates and set current kernel. I posted to in the main update thread earlier.
gozo Solution found - old kernels were clogging the /boot partition so I had to remove them manually to free up space. This page was useful (steps 2 and 3 unnecessary, you can skip those): https://help.getsol.us/docs/user/quick-start/kernel-management/remove-old-kernels Improvement idea: while /boot was clogged for months, I was running updates regularly and never received any warnings that this was going on. This is a big potential improvement point for future versions, if not adding simple GUI for removal old / obsolete kernels. Thanks!
FTouzain gozo I faced the same issue, I solved removing old kernel and updating with clr-boot-manager. I agree that a warning would be a nice feature (stopping update, advising to remove old non-active kernels first) or simply giving advice to remove old kernels when they are detected after a successfull upgrade ? (like I think we have sometimes in ubuntu after update).
