Crash after deep sleep, black screen on start

When you see the error message about lightdm, wait a moment. The system should either show you a login screen or a terminal. If you see a terminal, run sudo systemctl restart lightdm.service. If you see a black screen, try pressing Ctrl+Alt+F2/F3 to access the terminal, then run the same command.

Yas, you can try reverting the update - at worst it will fail.

ok I get the terminal after booting on LTS (I didn't understand the first time sorry)
but now I don't have time to continue (and difficult with qwerty instead of azerty), I will continue later.

Back to screen. The problem is that I don't know the login for "solus operating system".
I usually only use a password when starting my computer…
I tried some ideas (root, admin, solus, solushere…), but no, I'm stuck

So I'm trying now the rollback, with sudo eopkg history -t911

I reboot with choosing the current system in grub menu, but still have black screen after. (now it's kernel 7.03.334 instead of 7.03.336)

Please boot the system, switch to TTY (Ctrl+Alt+F2 or F3), log in, and run these commands:

inxi -G
eopkg li | grep nvidia

I know a password, I use it for open session, but I don't know what is login and pwd for that terminal…

If you can't remember your username, log in as root in TTY (use 'root' as username). Then run:

ls /home . This will show you all usernames on the system.

I tried root, but what about the pwd…? I have error ("login incorrect") with no pwd and with my pwd for starting session

David26 You don't remember the username you set up when you first installed Solus? You may want to boot a live system, mount the partition with the existing installation on it (as if you were doing recovery), and enter cat /target/etc/password (assuming you mounted the root partition to /target). That will show you the users and hopefully you'll recognise your username.

You can then reboot your system, and follow the earlier instructions to login via TTY.

(I didn't get the pwd but I can open the file "password", and inside I find the login)

so I can now log in TTY after boot on LTS-6.18

David26 I'll let @pomon continue trying to help you, but I think we need to see the output from theuname -a and inxi -G commands. Also, do sudo eopkg dc before trying the eopkg li | grep nvidia. Please post the output from the commands pomon requested.

I suggest you run:

sudo eopkg remove nvidia-glx-driver-current
sudo eopkg install nvidia-470-glx-driver
sudo reboot

When the system starts, choose the LTS kernel (6.18.26-286), NOT the current kernel.

I start on LTS kernel (6.18.26-286)
and do these operations in terminal, everything seems going well.
then it reboot after "sudo reboot".
After start, in grub, choosing second line, I had only the current 7.0.3-336 for choice.
I choose it, an I arrive again on "Failed to start lightdm.service - Light Display Manager
After that I reboot, and see that now the 1st line is 6.18.26-286 LTS ...sorry
So I choose it, and I have black screen...

Once more, provide the results of these commands:

eopkg li | grep -iE 'nvidia|linux-lts'
sudo clr-boot-manager list-kernels

Look at this post - there's probably @rjuarezp who had the same problem.

First, let's check the entire system for any problems. Run this command:

sudo eopkg check

Does it show any errors?

Then, if there are no errors (or after we see what's broken), you'll try removing the nvidia driver:

sudo eopkg remove nvidia-470-glx-driver
sudo reboot

After restart, boot on the current kernel (7.0.3-336).
