Audio Dsp setup

For the audio buffs I know its prob simple.
I Have a DSP with line input and Output on Dsp (No Usb)
So I need take line out on Comp feed to Dsp and then take the Line out on Dsp
and feed into the Line input on Comp and have it output to my Usb Speakers.
I want it to be seamless when Using Dsp.

Want to pipe that audio through the Dsp (Digital Signal Proc) and then to my Pc Speakers
They are just Usb Speakers.
My Dsp only Has line in and Line out.

Never really Got into Audio deep other than the players
But thought I would ask Before I just started trying to download anything that sounded good and might work.

Its just me here and I never was a headphones guy anyway Thats why I wanted to use Pc speakers

Axios grew up with HAM (50lb Zenith SW) and tons of mystery morse code band, ship traffic, lots of cloak and dagger stuff, and unusual shows, and lots of truckers.

In some ways using your imagination with all this stuff under the stars was better than a book and better than AM radio (by a little bit 🙂.

I have nothing to offer this three-way setup hope someone can. Smells like a case for an adapter?

Axios I know nothing about HAM radio, but what kind of DSP is it? What do you want to do with the signal? Compress, noise reduction, EQ, Hi-pass, Low- pass, reverb (surely not?)? And is the signal Stereo, mono, multichannel?

But the filtering is digital the micro does the work.
the inputs and outputs are stereo
I found Helvum but I cant keep the signals isolated from like the usb speakers and the analog input.

I am a HAM (amateur radio operator). Many times we work weak signals that are hard to hear. DSP helps to clarify the signal by reducing background noise. Doing a little research shows a couple of possible solutions. The easiest might be to use software on the PC to do the processing. I found JamesDSP in the Solus repository. If that can do the job then you don't need an external DSP.
The other solution would be to buy a cheap stereo from a pawn shop or thrift store and connect the output from the DSP to that and let the stereo drive the speakers.
I don't know enough about PC audio to be sure, but I think you would have a problem trying to feed audio in and back out on a PC. Maybe someone on here knows how to do that.

You might be able to use Ardour. It has signal routing built in, so theoretically you could boot it up and choose your sound card as the audio device, then create a track (the "rec" view should show your available input sources), then record arm the track and the DAW so that it starts monitoring, and then you could load audio plugins on the track you need to process (eq, noise reduction, compression etc). There might be a simpler way to do this but that's how I would do it since I use Ardour a lot. The mixer in Ardour also lets you custom route things. Technically this would also let you record, but you don't have to start recording in order to monitor (playback) the audio.

Messed with it for awhile getting it to loop back was to much of an issue
I Installed JamesDsp and worked with it and got the audio where its pretty good for the
Internet Ham radio Listening.
And Did not use my External Dsp.
