ForumPheasant Quick question, is there a possibility in the future for a minimal ISO?

It is kinda hard to do this at the moment. Though when we eventually uses AerynOS tooling, there is a possibility. No promises, no ETA.

I switched to KDE this week, because of issues with my gnome.
So it is my first sync with KDE. Well done. But it was a huge and long taken sync... ₁.5 Gig

All went well on the Gnome machines.

1 x box and 1x laptop updated via the Gnome software centre.
1 x box updated with Solseek
1 x laptop with a fresh Gnome installation updated via terminal.

No problems to report.

Following up on my first post, this morning (10:45 AM French time), I turned on my computer and was able to access the login screen directly.

A notification in Solus informed me of two updates to process: one for the Flatpak Blanket application (new version 0.8.0) and the other for the xdg-dbus-proxy package (new version 0.1.7).

Once done, I rebooted my PC, and again, I had to press Ctrl+Alt+F7 to access the login screen.
The command sudo eopkg dc didn't change anything, and I don't understand why.

What do you advise me to do?

P.S. At this time (1:35 PM, French time), the problem has not recurred. Any ideas?

I just noticed that Solseek appears in English when I open it, even though I set it to display in French, why?

First problem for me in 2 years of Solus with that update (a tiny one, happily): the application "input-remapper" (to remap buttons from my mouse and keyboard) doesn't work any more. When I try to launch it from the terminal, I get an error line like this " ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'pkg_resources' ". Possibly a problem with " python-setuptools ", if I understood well.

I know that some applications, like the previous application manager and doflicky was removed because the python version it was using was depreciated, but I hope this is not the problem there, since there is "python" in the package name where I suspect a problem. Because this time, I personally really need input-remapper to work with Blender and I found no alternative. So please, tell me it's something else and I can fix it.

The latest python-setuptools deprecated pkg_resources which was warned about for over 7 years before finally being removed. Sadly input-remapper does not appear to be very active and thus may never be updated to work with newer versions of python-setuptools.

Since input-remapper does not appear to have anyone actively working on it upstream to prevent breakages like this it will likely be deprecated from Solus.
