I've been recently experiencing video related issues, this is what happened recently. The screenshot below is from the laptop screen and I also have a 2nd monitor hooked up, the same effect happens on the 2nd screen as well, this doesn't occur on a daily basis but every now and then. Also wake up from suspend about 4 times out of 10 results in a black screen with a cursor which doesn't respond to anything except switching to TTY1 and hangs there completely. I'm not sure if this is a nvidia driver problem or issues with the OS or kernel. I wasn't able to get any helpful info from any of the logs.
