Staudey I actually made the decision myself, but it was made easier by a poster on Reddit a few days before I was even offered to join, who did not understand the Syn part of it, which I get since I have been in the cyber world, and took the SYN part from the SYN-ACK style attacks. So I had about a page and a half of a lecture about Original Sin and so on.
Yeah, and joining Solus shortly after I decided maybe I should just use my github account name. 😎
It could have been worse and I could have used my gamer name, which I earned because, despite loving games and hosting CS tournaments back in the day, I was absolutely terrible at first-person shooters. So in the middle of dying for the 100th time, I changed my screen name to Deadman, and it stuck with my gaming group. Never felt that was a good name anywhere else 😉
