I know it's a bit anectodal evidence, but I gotta say I always update my system in terminal with sudo eopkg up and haven't had any issues doing so in 6 years.

Thank you, I am aware of Solseek and that people only say good things about it. I'll probably move to it at some point. Even so Discover needs to work correctly as long as it is the default.
I understand @Sebastian 's point of view about preferring the terminal command for Solus updates, and Solseek is a great initiative that goes in that direction.
But I also agree with @Teggs, who adds that it's important for Discover to remain fully functional since it's still the default app for Budgie, Plasma, and Discover, as @Harvey mentioned in a previous post.
