Gnome 49.4 audio selection bug

After update to gnome shell 49.4 I am no longer able to select line out audio in the quick settings audio drop down.
After doing a bit of searching I found this which seems to be the issue/fix.

After downgrading to 49.3, I am able to select the line out as before.

Interesting bluetooth only fix here. I wasn't smart enough between the merges & commits to gather regressing/downgrading would fix this bug--it seemed like they were creating a fix. But I'm no developer.

Saw no line out audio/gnome/49.4 mention of this at our own devtracker. you should let them know.
Also wonder if any Gnome user here could corroborate it?

I can't speak for the Solus GNOME maintainer, but this issue seems to require patches and rebuilds for gnome-shell, gnome-control-center and possibly gnome-settings-deamon. So, I don't know if anyone is willing to do this or if you just have to wait for the next gnome (point) release. Fixes for this seem already have merged to gnome-shell and gnome-control-center main branches.
However, the only way to find out is to open an issue for this on the Solus dev tracker describing your issue and including the links you have provided above.

As a workaround you might install pavucontrol and select your audio output there.
sudo eopkg it pavucontrol

Yeah, I figured it would require rebuilds so I'll suppose I'll just stay on 49.3 until either that or the next release.

I do already have pavucontrol installed but it's just much more convenient to use the quick setting drop down since I frequently change audio outputs. It can be a good temporary option though for anyone who has this issue.
