Black screen with cursor, sddm

Hello,

For the third time, I'm getting a black screen with the cursor on my up-to-date Plasma 6.5.
I've had this problem before; it's because of SDDM, the theme isn't recognized.
@"elfprince" gave me the solution to access the desktop using kde_settings.conf, but I didn't write it down.

Can Solus be updated via the live USB, and if so, how? Thank you.

I'm using the Solus live USB.
How can I fix this problem and get back to the desktop?
