I'm a huge fan of having web pages read aloud when having breakfast or coding. Firefox' built-in text-to-speech feature comes in very handy on Windows 10. But on Solus the voice sounds very cracked and barely intelligible. Thing is, I am not sure how to fix this since the issue can probably located at different levels, as Firefox exploits the OS' text-to-speech capabilities...
Monitoring live processes in the terminal suggests that Solus is using espeak-ng, handled through speech-dispatcher. Is there a rule-of-thumb I could use here to diagnose and possibly fix the issue?
