Dolphin constantly asking for SMB credentials

I cant remember this always being an issue, I use a NAS that has different login details to my user but I would ask once (They are saved ) and that was it, recently (last few months) I asks what seems to be each folder it reads when opening the drive. Its driving me crazy, it should only ask once on opening the drive and no more till I log out of my PC (as it used to) any one else experience this and have a solution?

I do remember there being a discussion about kdewallet changing its backend, to 'secret service', I do think it may have happened around that time?

Make sure you have a wallet set up and open.

Go to Settings -> KDE Wallet. Make sure there is a wallet set up there. Also make sure "Use KWallet for the Secret Service interface" is checked (that's the new thing).

Then open up KWalletManager from the app menu. It may show the wallet as closed, that's normal. Click the Open button and make sure you can open the wallet.

If all that works, we can troubleshoot further.

KDE Wallet is working fine. I think I have found a work around. If I open the smb share with user@smb:// in dolphin it does not ask for any credentials (it must get them from wallet)
