Solus KDE update resulted in black screen, cannot access system

Hello,

I updated Solus KDE yesterday. During the update process, the screen suddenly went black.
Since then, I can’t access the system anymore, even after rebooting.

My /home is on a separate partition, so my personal data should be safe.

Could you please advise on the best way to repair the system?
Is there, for example, a way to boot into a command-line / recovery mode?

I’m in dual boot, and Linux Mint is still working, so I can use it if needed.

Check if you can switch to tty by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F2. If so, then rollback. If not, then use chroot.
You can perform chroot from your Mint system instead of using a Live distro.

Hello, thank you for your reply. I tried both solutions, but I was never able to get a positive result when testing Google’s domain name. In the end, I reinstalled the system partition / and everything is back to how it was before. Thanks, and have a good day!

I'm sorry you had to reinstall the system to solve this. Hopefully this won't happen again. If it does, I hope we can get to the cause of the problem and help solve it.
