What I do in such a scenario I use this Norton commander like TUI file manager called mc
sudo eopkg it mc
then run sudo mc in terminal.
Looks ugly, does the job.
It like split view left and right with source and target directory.
You Switch between both with tab.
Go on the right side to the target directory and on the left side to the files you wanna move.
Navigation via keyboard arrow keys.
If I remember right F5 to copy, F6 or 7 to move, F8 to delete.
After that you need to adjust permissions for those files that your normal user has access to them.
