How to completely delete all Teamviewer leftovers

Hi y'all, have a happy new year 2026!

I would like to get rid of everything to do with old Teamviewer installations, from the old third parties section in the Software Center, flatpaks, AppImages - the lot.
When I search my Budgie installation from / up I find over 30 folders containing over 65 objects and over 390 separate files that contain the word "teamviewer" in one way or another.
Is there a way to get rid of them all?
Teamviewer is a typical Windows-biased software that hacks itself into every corner of your computer. Had I known before I would never have installed it.

I've already run sudo eopkg dc but still have leftovers.
How can I delete all of them without ending up with a corrupted computer?

sudo eopkg rm teamviewer

First thing first: if you've installed teamviewer multiple times from multiple sources there's no single way to get rid of it, you'll have to do multiple passes (and by the way, what @penny-farthing suggested is only one of those passes).
Having said that, Warehouse is a nifty app that manages pretty much every aspect of flatpaks, including leftover data from previous installations.
Flatsweep is another app that specifically searches for flatpak leftovers and removes them.
If this is not enough there's catfish from the repo (sudo eopkg it catfish), a dedicated search tool that can find whatever you want wherever you want.

Long story short: you'll have to do housecleaning by hand. It will take some time and (of course) when in doubt do not remove anything.

If you are removing flatpaks use (Warehouse) to remove them it will ask to remove user data or keep it
Also you can use flatsweep to see if any crap is hanging around.
Been using this method for flatpaks for along time. (As CorvusRuber suggested)

I dont worry with solus package leftovers but if I am doing something and run across something that is leftover
will delete it manually. (Just dont think its that much issue on Linux)

Funny side note:
Every time I open the menu and type "teamviewer" (as I'm too lazy to find its location within the menu) the result I get is RustDesk - the Teamviewer alternative I've installed a couple of days ago. Cheeky app that!

RustDesk.desktop has in it

Keywords=internet;linux;dart;rust;remote-control;p2p;teamviewer;rust-lang;rdp;remote-desktop;vnc;

because of that you can find it in search as teamviewer too. 🙂
