trinajstica carlanbro Try older like 4.5 version, then upgrade (I was use this process for my laptop) same problem with black screen on iso boot, maybe is not same issue like yours, idk.
carlanbro trinajstica the black screen issue wasn't the issue this time, it was the constant flickering ui when using nvidia drivers
Clintre Just curious What is your hardware (CPU, GPU mainly) Did you try booting into compatibility or verbose logging mode?
Tranquility carlanbro I also had a screen/UI flickering issue when installing Solus using the 4.8 (Budgie) ISO. What fixed it for me was the 4.7 (Budgie) ISO (and then I updated everything, including the nvidia-drivers)
carlanbro Tranquility turns out the flickering issue is due to the latest Nvidia driver version, many other people reported the same issues and the only fix is disabling the compositing feature
