Why is ISO 4.8 Budgie installing to x11 and not wayland ?

Downloaded new Budgie ISO and installed on new pc, which runs great. Question with x11 being retired why is it being installed instead of wayland ?

Simply because the Wayland version of Budgie is yet to be released. Budgie 10.10 will be Wayland. The current version is 10.9.3 I believe.

Fedora Rawhide has 10.10. I goofed around on Budgie Atomic and it was very usable.
