File Explorer (Nemo) - expander 'triangle' in right pane disappeared

Hi,

I noticed that in the file explorer (Nemo?) the triangles to open and display the contents of the folder on the RIGHT pane disappeared. Did I do something to change my settings accidentally? I clicked pretty much every button I could find to try and resolve the issue.

The triangle to open a folder is still on the LEFT pane, however now I have to learn a new workflow, far from impossible but I liked it in the right pane.

you mean the arrow that drops down the contents of a folder? mine are gone too. that really sucks since I need them.
Going to see if a setting got changed and will edit accordingly. but I don't know what right panel 'triangles' are only the left ones.

edit: fixed my 'triangle' disappearance in nemo via a setting. I'm not sure we are talking about the same thing though.
open your file manager, click help, click about so you can be certain we are talking about the same app.

I really don't know either.
But I checked my Nemo after reading this.

all the what-OP-calls-triangles were gone. I was alarmed til I found the setting in Nemo that restored the drop down folder thingy (what-OP-calls-triangles?). I didn't see Nemo in last Friday's update...maybe that's what made them disappear?

On the right side of Nemo I saw nothing, no Triangles.

I haven't had any lager yet but I am confused too. Hopefully op will clarify

brent They are part of the sidebar it seems you can hide the sidebar
But I have never seen the sidebar on the right side.
I could could not find anything about putting it on the right side

that's what I did too. easy to revert.

never seen it on that side either nor did I see the option in prefs but then again anything can go over my head sometimes

I would but cannot find 'Settings' anywere in Nemo. I don't see a hamburger menu or three dots either. Can you point me to Settings please? (I attached a copy of my desktop in another post here where I circled the only two places I see where there are any options).

In this pic from @brent you can see the 'triangles' I'm referring to (circled in white), they are in the 'right pane' (outlined in the right red box, 'left pane' is outlined in the left red box).

However, in this pic from my laptop you can see all the folders in the 'right pane' do not have the 'triangles' to open the folders in the right pane. You can only open them by clicking on them but then it opens only that folder, so the 'tree' structure does not work in the 'right pane'.

Ooops I see you dont have the top menu bar showing I dont remb how to make it
show up I set mine to always be there.

Axios ok, I got it. I started clicking on the top bar and a 'right click' makes the menu bar appear. I probably hid it as I'm working on a 14" laptop so try to save space.

I think stuff like this is an F key or CTRL+F. As for the exact number I don't remember either 12 or 4 maybe

@MichaelFinko no real issues at devtracker (this is recent and a tiny bit like yours https://github.com/getsolus/packages/issues/7241) but whatever caused us both to revert some settings was caught early probably with this thread..ultimately small potatoes since no Oops Screen 🙂

SOLUSfiddler all is back to 'my' normal 🙂 the 'expanders' are now visible.
