Ok so I'm on a AMD 2600 and it seems that the only solution is to update the BIOS for my ASRock mobo to get the latest patches for AMD fTPM. There are many reports of "stuttering" and issues with AMD TPM implementation and linux kernel combo that pop up every once in a while. I've determined it's not worth the hassle though the promise of verifying untampered boot firmware is cool.
I only enabled secure boot and TPM for BF6 so just disable fTMP on AMD and whenever you want to play be sure to reenable it in BIOS.
sudo systemctl mask dev-tpmrm0.device and sudo systemctl mask tpm2.target report to work for a bit, but the issue inevitably comes back and subsequent maskings have no effect at all. Anyways, TPM is not worth having enabled at least for me.
