Vivaldi update

Hi all,
I think that tomorrow's update will push Vivaldi 7.6 to 7.7 (not sure actually, but I guess).
I have tested this last version in my Mint gear, and it has broken quite a lot of stuff (bookmarks and some other "applets" ...).
Is there an easy way to update everything but Vivaldi ? I will update later when these known bugs (according
to Vivaldi's forum) are fixed.

You didn't mention what DE your are using so this might be different depending on whether you are using the software center or Discover. But in Discover all items to be updated have a check mark next to them. Just uncheck the one or more that pertain to Vivaldi. I'm not sure if the new software center for Gnome has that feature as I don't use it.

I am not using Discover, neither Gnome software.
Solseek or directly eopkg actually.
DE is Budgie by the way.

The new update messed up my theme as well. I have a custom Aritim Dark theme, and while the color codes are the same, the color that is actually displayed is different, which I confirmed with a color picker.

Basically, if I do :
eopkg update -x vivaldi-browser
that should work ...

There is no update command — the correct one is upgrade. Check the actual package names first: eopkg li | grep vivaldi

Then, for example:
sudo eopkg up -x vivaldi-stable -x ffmpeg-chromium-vivaldi-stable
if you're using the stable version.

Well that command didn't work for me vivaldi-stable updated to 7.7 but it seems ok.

I am in two minds about excluding this update. I have updated my Solus Unstable VM and Vivaldi has indeed updated to but seems ok. Also CachyOS has updated and again seems ok.

What kind of problems are you seeing @Patrice ?

Well it worked on one machine but not another, strange.

Well, I have done :
sudo eopkg up -x vivaldi-stable -x ffmpeg-chromium-vivaldi-stable -x vid.stab
and I still have the 7.6 version of Vivaldi, so it worked for me.
@banger , glad Vivaldi gets no problem for you. I will nevertheless wait for an updated version
as I don't want to have problems stated in my first post.

Updated my vivaldi via todays sync. cannot recognize any issues...
The only thing: It installed "Tripadvisor" automatically as a bookmark.
