Steam does not start anymore Plasma wayland

Like i mentioned in the Sync thread since last update steam does not start anymore.
A window is popping up.

Same with gparted
Gparted is not running anymore

can't open display.

Not sure it is related but i also noticed with Heroic Games Launcher that most games are not running with standart proton anymore.
I had to change to GE-proton 10.15 to get them work.

This is what i get when starting from terminal with Display=0 stem.

Last week it still worked.

How can i check this ?

It seems x-server is not running.

When i try to start it with startx i get the message

xauth: file /home/mike/.serverauth.189175 does not exist

I'm almost sure that on the last sync Discover installed something from unstable.
No x11 session anymore and reboot hangs on startup screen for 15 seconds.
Usually i see it mayne 2 secs.

Should i try a rollback ?

This will not happen unless you added the unstable repo to your system. I assume you didn't.

From the original message, it seems like something got messed up in your user environment. Does this same problem happen with a brand new user?

I apologize if i sounded harsh or impolite.
That's not mi intention.

It would be very nice if anyone could point me into the right direction.
I am totally unsure i should first do the new update or not.

Everything fine with Plasma, Wayland and Steam combo. No special tweaks, configs, keys. Its pretty much experience out of the box. Everything is up to date too. It seems in your case something is broken along the line, I would guess some config touched.

So, echo $DISPLAY gives :0, not just digit.
also, make sure Xwayland process is healthy. It's the one and only legit X11 provider in Plasma now.

When i try to change to a new user i just get a blank screen.
I can't even get to TTY only hard reset helps.

It sounds like either there are multiple problems or something seriously wrong with your installation. Start by checking for broken packages, the Help Center describes how.

sudo eopkg check shows no errors.

Without sudo i get a few permission warnings.

This means permission denied.

There is a reason the help center shows the example of using it with sudo. Without sudo you cannot read all the data to validate it.

So i'm glad i did it both ways.

After the update and reboot still no steam.
I deinstalled steam and reinstalled with no luck.

So i installed plasma-x11 package and voila steam is back running as before.
It is running in wayland as well.
So i assume something weird happened during the uninstall of x11 package on sync 45.
