EbonJaeger ~~~_there was someone on this thread or elsewhere that said user indicator applet was a dead applet. it is.
can't shut budgie down that way.
shutting down thru menu also fails.

will do it in terminal.

brent user indicator was reactivated after reboot. then used it to reboot a couple times to test. This button is functional now. Please disregard previous dispatch.

I installed the packages Evan provided and reconfigured my panels the way I a had them before with all the applets I had prior to crash. Then I added many spacers again in top panel and some to bottom panel and can confirm that no crash can be observed.

EbonJaeger I haven't updated yet since before last week. Should I install these two packages before my last week's update, the one that 'broke' Budgie? Then, after that do the update?

Thanks I did it.
But I don't have the wifi logo in "Status Indicator" like I use to have until this morning.
And I can't launch Discover anymore.
This morning, everything was working fine.
Any help here ?

Guyk5685 None of those are related to this topic. A new thread should be created about the Discover issue, and the network indicator issue should be filed here.

elfprince Do the update first and then install those two new packages. Those two packages are built against the latest stable, so it might not even installable before doing update.

Just noticed that after the updates, my wifi applet is gone from the bottom panel. How do I bring it back?

I have experienced that Budgie desktop get crashed already in Budgie 10.9.2.
The crash happens when I add the applets Keyboard Layout and/or AppMenu to the panel. The crash doesn't happen immediately, but in the next session logging. I didn't try it yet in 10.9.3.

sorry for my late response in here.
Desk: Solus-Budgie
i do NOT use hibernation or sleep-mode (i switched OFF all these options in the menu).

i set the Budgie-Screensaver to turn off the screen after 10 or 15 Minutes of non-usage,
and to NOT ask for the password after reactivation.

moving the mouse always directly led to showing the open desk.

now, after the update: the desk is not coming up anymore.
the screen seems activated (grey-ish color) but the desk does not show up.
i can only do a hard-reset (pressing the power button a few seconds) and reboot the system.
