That's something being caused by the kwin code that needs to be reported to KDE via their bug tracker https://bugs.kde.org. There's nothing I'm aware of in the way we package things that would cause this.

MikeK61 I think a few things went wrong with the KDE update.

I'm not able to reproduce those problems. Both gparted and Steam start without issue for me on Plasma Wayland. Can you please start a new support topic so we can do troubleshooting? Thanks.

Hi folks,
just a quick question to geht back on track. I never do my is updates on the day they are published to avoid any problems if there are any unwanted/unforced errors on the dev side. Lucky me this time ...

So I still need to install last weeks update ...

As I'm not checking the forum every day I don't know if the problem with budgie desktop is sorted out and it's save to do last weeks update or should I wait a little longer?

The update went fine and smooth, the only "problem" i encountered was my file manager feels now somehow laggy which is strange considering it was really snappy before and the system monitor is confirming this impression :

I mean, nautilus weren't using that much RAM before, right ?

My Nautilus uses around 70 MB freshly after launch, but jumps to half a gig if I open a directory with plenty of media files. I assume that's because of the need to load and display thumbnails and Nautilus does that for every file, whether it is within the manager's viewport or not. So it looks like it isn't really great with memory efficiency (a recurring theme with GNOME apps), but also highly dependent on what kid of directory you're browsing.

Alternatively you may have some extensions installed that contribute to the issue?

I try to keep my Gnome pretty minimalistic so i doubt it is the cause of the problem. I mean the problem is not that bad but hearing the fan of my laptop roaring just because i opened my file manager especially on this kind of config is amusing i must say.
