Error when trying to update Linux firmware package from Discover

Hi y'all,
I'm using Discover to update, no problems so far.
Except I keep getting this little error notification:

"Remote peer disconnected"

The firmware package appears again when I refresh the updates but never installs.
Anything I can do except ignore?

I'm running Solus Budgie on a ThinkPad X395.

SOLUSfiddler Firmware updates on Discover are not always successful, I had problems earlier in the year. Don't think SC updated firmware so what you are seeing is Discover just trying to do something new.
Try updating from Terminal with
sudo fwupdmgr refresh && fwupdmgr get-updates sudo fwupdmgr update
That should clear your problem.
Alternatively if you do not want Discover to check for firmware updates you can go into Discover Settings and uncheck the boxes in the Firmware Updates section.

I didn't see any open bugs on the KDE bug tracker for this. Please open a bug here:

This is something that has to be fixed by the Discover developers and/or the fwupd developers. Thanks.

yep. will be interesting how this one shakes out.

1)gnome-software was unable to update firmware on my end at one time, and 2) neither can fwupdmgr
--making me conclude this was independent of Discover but as you say the answer will come.

You're not going to believe this, but bugs on different symptoms can have different causes. Please keep this thread focused on the original problem on Solusfiddler's system, with Discover. Thanks.

I was just trying to help i.e. what could we eliminate but I wasn't clear about it. Sorry.
