I would like to point out that linux-current still has a bug on AMD GPU. There is a problem with suspending and it is fixed on kernel 6.17.

This morning I easily updated a Solus Budgie virtual machine to Polaris. However, my laptop Asus still remain on Shannon, even though I repeated the instructions..

For me, I had to Install any package via eopkg for the switch to Polaris be visible with the eopkg lr command

The epochal transition went smoothly.

But one thing is strange.

Gnome Software wants to update my "Secure Boot dbx" from 20230501 to 20250507 as integrated firmware.

But eopkg up doesn't show me this update. Why?

Should I do the update in Gnome Software, or will the machine no longer boot?

AlphaElwedritsch Firmware update is provided by fwupd and not provided/controlled by Solus. It usually comes straight from manufacturer through LVFS.

That's what Gnome Software and Discover shows.

There have been some issues with my Plasma Laptop regarding battery charging.
My battery is prevented from charging above 80%, my battery is normally at about 80% charge.
Directly after the update was complete I shut my laptop down for a few hours. When I switched it back on again the battery was showing 7% charge which is excessively high discharge even if it had entered a suspend or hibernate mode. I switched off again and left it charging for thee of four hours. When it was turned back on again the battery showed 20% charge. It has never done this before, battery health is about 79% so it should be fine. Poked about in the Energy - Info Centre and suddenly my battery charge shot up to 100%. All very strange behaviour, I hope it has had it's little tantrum and everything is back to normal now.
