Only Office and Software Center

I'm a bit confused by what is and what isn't in Software Center. It is a great one step location to install software but is there a reason why Only Office is not inlcuded? Is there some sort of documentation about currating the list?

If you are asking here about a policy about what packages are/can be included in repo I believe this depends on the projects license allowing distribution/packaging or not and packaging man power on the Solus side. (But this might be explained better by a team member)
Be aware that Solus as an independent distro (in sense of not a derivate of some other distro) has a smaller repo as for example debian/arched based distros (again, man power), but nowadays with the availability of flatpaks, that doesn't really matter that much any more.

Also, users are free to request a pakage to be included in the Solus repo here: https://github.com/getsolus/packages

It is available as a Flatpak, so they did not package it for the repo.

In the next release, 4.8, we will be switching from Solus Software Center to Gnome Software for Gnome, and Discover for the other desktop environments. They have integrated flatpak support, so you can search for and manage flatpaks as well as the software we package.

They are available to install now, if you want. Just make sure to uninstall Solus Software Center afterwards, to prevent conflicts.

Also, be aware that Discover/GNOME Software might not list all available packages.
If I am not mistaken they predominantly show GUI pakages. CLI programs/libraries are not shown as they don't ship a .desktop file. (Please correct my if I am not up to date here)

To search the entire repo you can use eopkg search SEARCHTERM or browse the repo here

Sebastian It should show both GUI and CLI programs in both. But then again, I have never been a fan of the packagekit interface they use, so I don't use them most of the time.
