TraceyC theking2 That dialog is controlled by the Calamares installer, and not us. We can't really change this. Your feedback would be more valuable if you provided it to the Calamares project.
Sebastian So my dear king, without providing more context here nobody gonna know what exactly you are talking about.
Original-Syn That is Calemares, and yeah, it is a bit weird how they (Calamares team) decided to do that. I do believe there is a way to disable it, as I was playing around with it working on the LUKS encryption options a while back, but it is a convoluted mess.
brent I've seen grayed-out and/or lo-resolution buttons in all kinds of installers --this is not a Solus thing imho maybe just a priority thing 2 cents
Original-Syn brent Calamares is both a great installer for distros to use and one of the most annoying convoluted messes all at the same time. I was researching how to set LUKS version to 1 or 2 depending on if the system was booted via legacy BIOS or UEFI. There is such a lack of dynamic capabilities it is crazy. Literally have to run a pre-install script and use something like sed to modify a file. Even chatted with some of their devs over it.
