Cannot boot into Windows 11 after installing Solus.

Hello everyone. After installing Solus OS, I am unable to boot into Windows. Going into UEFI settings, I don't see an option to boot into Windows. I can still access the Windows drive in Solus and go into any files. I'm just not sure how to resolve this issue. Here's a screenshot of my drive with GParted. Thank you for any help.

BitSoul Not sure what you are calling UEFI settings. You should be able to interrupt boot and access UEFI BIOS. Look for the boot section which should show Solus as first boot device, further down the list should be Windows. You can move the Windows entry up the list to primary boot or try disabling Solus, either should work.
Alternatively there should be another function key that will allow you to choose the boot device which you might be able to start Windows from. I think that would be F12 on my laptop but I do not dual boot so cannot test it.
Generally Solus and Windows (esp W11) do not play very well together and seem to be quite high maintenance due to Windows Faststart.
A good repair option might be to try Rescatux 0.73.

Thanks for the reply. I did mean UEFI BIOS rather than UEFI settings. The Windows drive wouldn't show up in the boot order section. What I ended up doing was using an usb drive with Windows created from the Windows Media Creation Tool. I then just installed Windows over the older installation and it worked. So problem solved I say, and it goes without saying, but anyone doing what I did should back up their files. Maybe your way was better, though.

BitSoul I'm glad you are up and running again. A better way, depending on your requirements, for Windows and Linux to coexist is to install Windows as a virtual machine inside Linux. You can do this with Oracle VirtualBox which is in the Solus repository.
I hope you enjoy using Solus in the future, it is a great operating system with many loyal and long term users.

For anyone who might read this, it's always less painful to keep Windows and Linux on separate drives. With this kind of setup, you can choose the drive to boot from when the system starts up from the BIOS / UEFI options.

As another option for people who have both on the same disk, Solus currently uses clr-boot-manager to handle boot entries. See this for the basics about it.
