Youtube video oddness?

I am in Firefox, are videos stuck in Theater mode for anyone else? When I click the button, it says "Defualt mode", but it is the same.

Edward78 From a reddit article came the following tip.
Try clearing your youtube cookies.
I hope that works for you.
Alternatively an internet search for "stop viewing videos in theatre mode in firefox" should give food for thought.

BuzzPCSOS Removing cookies works for maybe a sec, when I restart FF. It just pops back out to theater mode & if I go back to Default the button gets smaller that's it. I downloaded Brave, just to see & Default mode works. Not sure what it is in FF. Not any addons I have troubleshoot mode was the same, removing cookies, then restarting deos it for a sec, but it pops back to Theater mode, even when it is switched to Default, it satys.

Edward78 I'm guessing that this is a thing for YouTube videos, my only other suggestion is to replace the search engine with duckduckgo (use Firefox settings, it is one of the search engine choices). That way many videos can be played directly from the search results under the videos tab.
Duckduckgo is the first change I make to Firefox as it cleans away a lot of dross.

BuzzPCSOS I am logged in, after I delete the YT cookies, I restart FF & it is Default for a sec then pops out to theater. I downloaded another browser (Brave) not stuck in Theater n Brave & a new FF profile fixes it, just odd IMO. Np idea why it even started, the button changes when Iclick it, but that is all. Synced with account, still good & Default is still Default.

Computers, you just love them right, this makes no sense.

Edward78 Glad you got it working after researching it appears its the way youtube handles
theater mode and it more prevalent when logged into yahoo account. (for some reason)
And not really the browsers fault.
Answers to fixes are all over the place tho
I dont have a yahoo account and do tons of video watching never had that issue with FF.
